2008 Flu Shots
Each year, influenza kills more people in the U.S. than all other vaccine-preventable diseases combined.
That's why Lake Forest Hospital is offering flu shot clinics this fall to help area residents stay healthy this flu season. Beginning September 29th, Lake Forest Hospital will be providing flu immunizations at its Lake Forest, Grayslake, Gurnee, Lindenhurst and Vernon Hills campuses.
For the 2008-2009 flu season, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the American Academy of Pediatrics have expanded the recommendation for flu vaccination to include all children ages six months to 18 years, as well as adults and seniors.
We are offering all three types of vaccines, including:
- Conventional vaccine ($30)
- Nasal spray vaccine ($40)
- Mercury-free vaccine ($40)
Vaccines will be offered as long as they are available, approximately 4-6 weeks. Please refer to this Web site or the flu shot hotline, (847) 535-8050, for updates.
Appointments are not required, and cash is preferred. Unfortunately, we are not able to bill insurance; but we will bill Medicare.
