Hospice

The decision to undergo hospice care can be one of the most difficult choices a person and his family is asked to make. Surrounding yourself with medical professionals who understand your personal goals as well as your medical needs and healthcare history offers reassurance and comfort during a difficult time.

Lake Forest Hospital and Westmoreland Nursing Center work with multiple hospices, including Midwest Palliative & Hospice Care Center and Heartland, to provide the services our patients and their families need, either in a hospital, nursing home or the patient’s own home. When medically necessary, our Inpatient Hospice Unit, located on the campus of Rush North Shore Medical Center in Skokie, is available.
